The 20th edition of the renowned Challenge “The Golden Nose” that awards the Best Spanish Wines in different categories, has chosen Monte Blanco by Ramon Bilbao 2010 as the first in the White Wine Category.
It is the first vintage of this verdejo from D.O. Rueda made in the winery owned by Ramón Bilbao and was released onto the market just four months ago. Let’s remember that Mar de Frades, other wine from Ramón Bilbao group, received the same acknowledgement in 2008.
This famous Spanish competition that takes place during one year with 6 semifinals all over Spain, is agreed to be the most prestigious in picking theBest Sommelier in Spain each year. The 50 final contender sommeliers also judge the Best Wines in Spain, among the short list with wines from all over the country.
The Results were revealed last June 12st, and were soon announced on TV and the main newspapers.
