In the town of Serrada, in the northernmost part of the Rueda Designation of Origin, generation after generation of local people can trace their family links with winemaking. That's where we are. In an impressive 380 hectare vineyard, with our vines marching across the landscape in a natural environment that makes its indelible mark on the character of the land and its people.
Long, intense winters, producing hardy native species. Cold summer nights. Brownish, stony soils with a high mineral content. A tough place to live, where everything conditions the character of our grapes, the essence of our way of understanding nature, the rigor applied to each stage in the process and expressed every season in a new wine.
Winters here are intense, they start early and conditions are tough. Our vineyard is set on wide terraces along the banks of the river Duero, at just the right altitude and planted in stony limy soil. The cold summer nights also do their bit to add yet more quality and temperament to our wine.
